I lock the slide back, drop the mag, flip the takedown lever down, then pull back on slide, and slowly release tension of recoil spring, and continue forward until slide is off frame rails. On mine it comes off and back on smoothly. It takes almost no force to defeat the magazine release spring. The only reason I can see to use force to insert a magazine is in the event the slide is closed so you're able to defeat the magazine spring as the top round makes contact with the slide. On a closed slide I just "push with speed" and apply pressure as necessary to seat the mag.

Manual Safety is absolutely required for me. The lack stops the glock 19x from being a perfect weapon. I will go with the 365x over the 365x macro because of the manual safety issue.
