If it the typical example could hold a 8" group at 600 yards with average ammo, AND if it weren't so difficult to mount a good scope, AND if it either had a good magazine option or a way to load it while scoped, it could be a very good medium range precision platform. While I believe detachable SKS mags are silly, a range friend of mine owns one and has some Tapco mags.
